Conditions of Consultation

A framework for reading, referencing and using this independent architectural publication.

The publisher and the site

This website is published by Norvebrowsecomet Spatial Studies Ltd, company no. SC792615, registered office: 16 Bath Street, Glasgow G2 1HG, United Kingdom. Contact: [email protected]. These terms concern use of the site and its local tools; they do not create an architectural or other professional appointment.

Information, not a project instruction

The essays offer general architectural information and educational discussion. They are not construction drawings, structural calculations, food-production instructions, hygiene validation, fire-safety assessments, accessibility certification or legal advice. Conceptual diagrams and rendered models do not establish regulatory approval or operational suitability.

For a real project, appoint appropriately qualified local professionals and consult relevant authorities, operators and equipment suppliers. Applicable law, technical requirements and standards depend on location and activity and may change. Do not rely on this website as the sole basis for building, altering or operating a facility.

Accuracy and independent references

We aim to present information carefully, but material may be incomplete, contain errors or become outdated. Sources and published projects are provided for further inquiry, not as endorsements or guarantees. We are not affiliated with the named estates, architects, museums, standards organisations or public authorities merely because we discuss or link to them.

External websites are controlled by their respective operators. Their availability, contents and policies may change. Check current source documents, project details, travel information and opening arrangements directly before acting.

Permitted use and intellectual property

You may read the site, link to its pages and keep reasonable extracts for personal study, subject to applicable law. Copyright and other rights remain with their owners. Quotations should identify the source and stay within applicable exceptions or permissions. Do not republish substantial site content, remove attribution or represent conceptual studies as approved project documents without permission.

Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners. A reference does not grant rights in their photographs, drawings, publications or branding. Ask us about permission for uses outside ordinary reading and lawful quotation.

Using the note composer

The tool creates a plain-text preview locally and offers copy and download actions. It never submits the note. You are responsible for reviewing the content, keeping your own copy and deciding whether to send it separately. Browser restrictions may prevent clipboard access or file download. We do not guarantee draft recovery, continuous availability or compatibility with every device.

Do not use the site to distribute unlawful material, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access or infringe others’ rights. Do not include confidential information or third-party personal information in correspondence without authority.

Correspondence and liability

Sending a message does not create a client relationship, a confidentiality agreement or a commitment to respond, publish or provide services. Any commissioned work would require a separate agreement defining scope and responsibilities.

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss arising from reliance on general editorial information or interruption of the free site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

Changes and governing law

We may revise the site and these terms as its scope changes. The terms applicable to your use are those published at that time. These terms are governed by Scots law, subject to any mandatory protections and jurisdiction rights that apply to you. Contact us if a concern or correction would benefit from clarification.

Follow the routes. Notice the thresholds.
